Meals

Children help with food and table prep and clean up and eat family style meals serving themselves and others.

We provide breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. We keep the meals simple and nutritious, using a variety of veggies, fruits, and whole grains which are primarily organic. The meats, cheeses and eggs that we use are hormone and antibiotic free. Each day’s menu will be posted at the beginning of each week.

We may ask parents to help supplement for special diets.

*Please don't bring your child into the school with food from home in hand to finish eating at the school. We supply meals.

Toiletries if needed-diapers, wipes, extra changes of clothes. $2 dollar fee per diaper not provided. $2 dollar fee per day for wet wipes not provided.

A comfort item, such as a stuffed animal, is welcome if needed.

*Please limit personal items to comfort items only. No toys from home, please.

*Please don't bring children to school with food from home. We provide meals.

Illness

We understand that colds happen, but if a child has a persistent runny nose or cough lasting more than a few days, we will ask that the child stay home to fully recover.

If a child is clearly very ill and struggling to get through the day or requiring so much attention due to illness that we cannot tend to that child and other children properly, we will also call parents to have the child picked up.

If a child has a fever of 101 F, the child needs to stay home and be off fever reducers with no fever for 24 hours before returning to our care. If a child has diarrhea or is vomiting, the child needs to stay home.  If a child develops any of the above during the day in our care, we will call parents and the child will need to be picked up immediately.

We are willing to give medications, but only if necessary. We will need the appropriate paperwork filled out.

Pick up and Drop Off

Children can be dropped off any time after 7:45 a.m., but not sooner. Children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m. and not later. It’s helpful if you let us know if you will be picking up or dropping off your child at a different time than usual.

A fee of $5.00 will be added to the next bill for every minute past 5:30.

Please keep pick up and drop off short and sweet. Children can become anxious about the transition if a parent lingers . We also need to make way for others coming and going.

Safety and Emergency

All caregivers are trained in CPR and first aid for infants, children, and adults, and we keep our certification current.

Cleaning supplies and hazardous substances are kept out of reach of children. All outlets within a child’s reach are child proofed.

Fire alarms and extinguishers are hung in the preschool. They are kept up to date and checked regularly. In the case of fire, everyone in the preschool will be evacuated and 911 will be called.

We have a basic first aid kit on hand in the case of the usual bumps and scrapes. We will have health information and emergency contact information forms on hand in case of illness or emergency.

In the case of emergency, we will call 911, then the parents, and provide paramedics with all health and

contact information.

Termination of Contract

Termination of the contract or a change in the originally agreed upon schedule by us or a parent must have advance notice of one month with full payment for that month. If the child is taken out of care sooner than one month or a change in the original schedule agreement requires less  days than originally agreed upon, the parent agrees to pay the full month regardless.

Failure to make payments will result in termination of care with the expectation of payment of any tuition owed . We understand that financial issues can arise. Please just communicate with us and we can reach a temporary alternate payment plan.

We retain the right to terminate the contract without notice if a child’s or a parent’s behavior is destructive, uncontrollable, violent, or threatening to other children or us. This will be determined based on our sole discretion.
